Summer 2008 Music Lessons
The summer is a great time to study an instrument! Many of the St. Cecilia School music teachers keep their private studios open in the summer. Summer music lessons are not sponsored by St. Cecilia School. However, one advantage of summer music is that there is no contract. Summer is a great time for new students to discover if they like studying music before making a semester-long commitment and for continuing students to learn new pieces.
Lessons offered for piano, recorder, flute, clarinet, saxophone, violin, viola, cello, and guitar. Please note, if you choose the piano, you need to rent or own a traditional acoustic piano in your home.
If you have more questions about music lessons, fee free to call:

Earthquake Relief:
Dear Saint Cecilia Families,
On Monday, May 12th a magnitude 7.9 earthquake hit the province of Sichuan in the southwestern part of China last. The Sichuan province is the most populated part of China.
Seismologists estimated the earthquake might have lasted up to a devastating three minutes in length. The 7.9 earthquake was about 32 times stronger than the 1989 Loma Prietta earthquake.
This Friday, May 23rd, a $1 Free Dress Day is being sponsored by the fifth grade. All proceeds going to the Catholic Relief Services. The donations will support the mobilizing of relief workers, the sending of food and supplies, and providing financial resources to the Sichuan province of China. A 7.9 earthquake devastated the Sichuan province on May 12th.
St. Cecilia School students are active Christians aware of global situations and look to help those less fortunate. Please donate to this worthy cause.
Thank You!
The Students from Grade 5 Rooms 18 & 19
