Rare Opportunity...Become A Festival Booth Chairperson Today!
We need two new Booth Chairs at this year's festival. Chairpersons don't often give up a booth, so join now while you can. We will give you whatever support you need to help you get started, and there are no meetings to attend. The two booths in need of a chairperson are:
1. Pull Tabs: This booth is very easy to run. Virtually no prep work before the festival. Just show up and start selling.
2. Wii competition: Help establish a brand new booth at this year's festival. Chairperson should be comfortable with technology, love boxing, and rowdy crowds.
If you are interested or have any questions, please call Helen (415) 334-7725 or Cindy (415) 566-2733
Booth Sponsors
One of the easiest ways you can get involved is to become a Booth Sponsor. The contribution you make today will help defray the cost of booth set up and maintenance, decorations and prizes. Your contribution is essential to the success of the festival.
You can contribute at the Oyster Level for $200, at the Scallop Level for $150 or at the Clam Level for $100. All donations are graciously accepted. Please fill out the Booth Sponsor form (click here) and return it to the school office in an envelope marked "festival" or mail it to the rectory.
Please note our new Starfish Level for corporate/business sponsorship. Your donation of $400 will get your company’s name displayed prominently on your favorite booth for the entire weekend.
As always, the festival will be a very fun weekend. You will enjoy events and games for all ages. Please join us, enjoy yourself and accept our many thanks for all of your kind support.
The Others
THANK YOU!
Mary Flynn and Teresa McNamara from the Hospitality Committee want to say, "Thank You" to Lilly Angelopoulos, Joanne Driscoll, Eileen Foti, Annette Hagan, and Kathy McKeon for helping out with the Welcome Back coffee on the first day of school. Also, a big THANKS goes out to Tully's coffee house for donating all the coffee and to John Campbells' Irish Bakery for the wonderful scones we all enjoyed. We appreciate your generosity!
ATHLETICS
St. Cecilia Athletics Fundraiser
Thank you to all those who have returned their order forms for the QSP – Wrapping Paper & Gift Fundraiser. This is a reminder that all orders are due back to School no later than Friday, September 12, 2008!
Soccer & Baseball Practice Attendance
As a friendly reminder to all parents regarding soccer and baseball practice, please refrain from “actively” watching while practice is underway. What we are asking is that all parents keep a good distance from the field, and please refrain from throwing out words of encouragement to the children or coaches. This is no different than how volleyball and basketball practices are managed at the Durocher Pavilion. Parents wait outside the building until practice is over and essentially don’t interact with the coaches or players while practice is underway. We realize that there are no defined boundaries at either soccer or baseball practice, like you would find at the Durocher Pavilion, so we’re asking that you use good judgment. The Athletic Board appreciates your cooperation because it should only further enhance the effectiveness of our coaches during practice and the team’s/child’s ability to focus and learn. Should you have any questions don’t hesitate contacting an Athletic Board member or one of our Athletic Directors.
Snack Bar
The Athletic Board is looking for an adult to volunteer to manage/oversee operations of the Snack Bar at Durocher Pavilion. Anyone who is interested should contact Steve Feiner at 584-4358 or Romy Scott at romyscott@yahoo.com ASAP! It is critical that we find someone because the Snack Bar is a great generator of money for our athletic program. Plus it allows those attending sporting events at the Pavilion to grab a snack or drink right on location. Thanks---and remember it’s for the kids!
