Prayers
Our sincere symthpay is extended to Mrs. Eileen Donohoe (KPM) on the death of her mother, Mazie Nevin, and to Ms. Deborah Denehy (Gr. 3 Rm. 9) on the death of her sister, Johanna De Luca. We continue to pray for these families as they mourn the loss of their loved ones.

Jaywalking
Thank you for following our policy on jaywalking. We seemed to have clarified that Jose has enough to do directing traffic and watching for pedestrians at the drive-through gates. He is not a crossing guard!

Student Safety
Students should not be waiting for rides in the upper parking lot, on the church or school steps or adjacent street corners. Students who have detention, who are doing service after school, or who are working with a teacher should wait inside the office until he/she sees his/her ride is in front of the school.

Eucharistic Ministers
Would you like to be a Eucharistic Minister at our school Masses?  Please email Sr. Marilyn if you want to continue serving as a Eucharistic minister, or if you would like to be trained as a Eucharistic Minister for this school year. mmiller@stceciliaschool.org

Emergency Kits
Each family received a brown paper bag at Back To School Night to be used as an emergency kit for each child in the school. The following items need to placed into the bag:
4 granola bars (NO peanuts)
2 fruit cups or pudding in cans, NOT refrigerated
2 fruit roll ups
2 small canned juice (5.5 oz) - NO fruit boxes
1 pint plastic bottled water
2 small pocket sized Kleenex
1 deck of cards, dice or card game (Old Maid, Go Fish, etc)
1 bag of hard candy
Seal the bag with tape, and on the front print your child’s name, grade and room number. Please send to school with your child by Tuesday, September 30.

Sandwiches For The Poor
This year we are again providing the opportunity of making a sandwich for the poor and homeless. Each Thursday, families can send an extra sandwich to school and put it on the bench outside the office. Members of the St. Vincent de Paul Society pick up the sandwiches by 9:00 and deliver them to the Multi-Service Center at 5th and Bryant where 400 people are fed each day. Kindergarten PM parents, please note the early pick-up time! A “Sandwich” reminder is on the calendar for each Thursday. Some parents/students have included a note with the sandwich that was greatly appreciated! Thursday, October 2, is the first collection day!

You can contribute at the Oyster Level for $200, at the Scallop Level for $150 or at the Clam Level for $100. All donations are graciously accepted. Please fill out the Booth Sponsor form (click here) and return it to the school office in an envelope marked "Festival" or mail it to the rectory.

Please note our new Starfish Level for corporate/business sponsorship. Your donation of $400 will get your company’s name displayed prominently on your favorite booth for the entire weekend.
