Academics
Transitional kindergarten (TK) and Kindergarten
St. Cecilia School offers a two-year kindergarten program with full-day academic programs (8 a.m. to 3 p.m.). Teachers embrace the needs of all our learners and teach the whole child by providing a loving environment and a well-rounded education focused on religion, language arts (small-group instruction), math (small-group instruction), science, social studies, art, music, physical education, and Second Step Program (social-emotional learning). In addition, we provide an opportunity for students to enroll in instrumental music (one-on-one music instruction during the school day). Our two-year kindergarten program is the first step toward helping children become active Christians, lifelong learners, socially responsible citizens, problem solvers, and effective communicators.

Grades 1-3
From first through third grade, we strive to create a strong academic foundation for our students, while simultaneously instilling a lifelong love of learning. We set high standards for our students to excel in all academic areas as well as in physical education, technology, art, and music. Students who desire and need additional academic support have access to our learning specialist through our Academic Support program. Our school counselor teaches social-emotional learning life skills via our Second Step program.
Teachers in each grade create meaningful learning experiences through both small- and whole-group instruction. Spirituality and faith formation is integrated into everything we do both in and out of the classroom. Sacramental preparation is a sacred and special part of the second grade, where students prepare to receive First Reconciliation and First Eucharist.
Our dedicated teaching staff champions critical thinking, confidence, and collaboration and instills the foundation of a growth mindset into our young students to reinforce a lifelong passion for learning.
